Data breaches are soaring in 2020

Due to the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis, thousands of employees are now working from home, and have been for the past 6 weeks. Virtual working has seen a huge increase in data breaches and hacks as it becomes harder for employees to verify plausible looking websites and the identity of who they are talking to.

DSA chairman Harry Benham is quoted on this issue in Computer Weekly – MicroScope about the new challenges working from home poses to data breaches.
